Better get used to the opponent scoring at least 3 goals per game . . . at least for the near-term future. Korpi allows 3 more often than not, and until Elvis gets a grip on the NHL we'll see that from him. (3 goals on 18 shots) although the D didn't help on a couple of them.
If Elvis doesn't start improving, and Veine continues to do well in Cleveland, maybe the FO should consider switching them, allowing Elvis to "evolve" in the AHL - less pressure.
Although they played real well last night, I'm not convinced that the offense can consistently generate at least 3 or 4 goals. There are too many guys that have stone hands - Wennberg, Jenner !! They are in the right place and get high-danger chances, but can't bury the puck. I think Jenner had at least 2 breakaways Saturday night, but couldn't cash in either one.

Look like they had to pull out all the stops to make that happen. Not a playoff team

Cool win , but 3 goals on 16 shots is a cause for concern. They can't always play that way if their goaltender doesnt give them a detente from time to time.

Thomas,

Maybe we ought to postpone that question until after game 10. Then we will have an idea who the #1 G is, and how the rookies are playing. Then we can see who may go up or down, and where the cap space may go at the trade deadline.

1-2 is not good, and losing to a bad PGH team is not good, but they beat Buffalo, and were competitive against the Leafs, even if it ended 4-1.
